Weekly Wrap Up
Dear Families, It’s been a wonderful start to the term, and Week 2 has been packed with community spirit and student achievements.
Our Muffins for Mum event was a fantastic success. It was lovely to see so many families join us to celebrate the special women in our lives. The strong sense of community was clear as we shared coffee, conversation, and of course, plenty of muffins! A highlight of the morning was our littlest learners delighting their mums by singing a song, making the occasion even more memorable.
Congratulations to our students on their fantastic participation in the recent netball carnival. We were proud to field both a girls’ team and a boys’ team, with all players showing great teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day. A special congratulations to the four students, Eva, Emily, Zara and Norah who have been selected to trial for the South West District team. A big shout out to Kate and Jeff for coaching and supporting the teams.
This week we launched our lunchtime volleyball competition for Year 5 and Year 6 students. There’s much excitement as teams hit the court and enjoyed some friendly competition. A big thank you to Jeff and our Sports Leaders, who have been hard at work organising and running the event.
Congratulations to our Festival Choir on their fantastic assessment this week. The students have worked incredibly hard and we are so proud of their achievement. We look forward to seeing them take the stage and perform at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in September.
Thank you to all our staff, students, families and volunteers who make these events and activities possible.
Enjoy the weekend.
Warm Regards, Rebecca

A big season for after school sport
Our after school sports program is thriving, with an incredible number of children getting active and involved this term. Across five different sports, we have 306 children playing in 36 teams, supported by a fantastic group of 56 volunteers.
Basketball continues to be popular, with 17 teams and 125 children taking to the court, supported by 28 dedicated volunteers. Interest in Netball is building with 3 teams, 27 players, and 5 volunteers. Volleyball is booming too — 4 junior teams with 37 students, and 3 kids’ teams with 17 players, all supported by 9 volunteers. On the soccer field, 9 teams and 100 players are enjoying the season with the help of 14 volunteers.
We’re excited to share that the school is investing further in our sports program, with new soccer goals and new netball goals on the way to support our growing teams.
A big thank you goes to Karina and all of our incredible volunteers — we couldn’t do it without you!
Signing for our Families
Our Foundation children joyfully signed and sang 'We are a Family' to the Mums who attended Muffins for Mum today. They did well to sing with loud voices and learn all of the Auslan signs!
