The Year 5s have been working on an exciting Rewild Your School project with a focus on Blue Banded bees. Blue Banded bees are native, non-honey making and non-stinging bees. Students have been tracking where blue banded bees are in our environment, what habitat they need to sustain their existence and what conditions they need to produce. They have been exploring plants and what makes Blue Banded bees so important. Their thinking has been supported using thinking routines so that their deep understanding is developed. Bunnings Marion has kindly donated money to purchase plants and will continue to help us to sustain the environment for long term impact.
